Special Needs

All of the low-cost airlines must be advised of any special needs requirements at the time of booking. This can be done by phoning the relevant carriers reservation centre to make a booking.

For passengers travelling in a wheel-chair there are restrictions on the number of wheel-chairs allowed on an aircraft and failure to notify the reservations center at the time of booking may result in an airline being unable to accept the passenger for the flight reserved.

Passengers own folding wheelchairs will be carried free of charge in addition to their normal baggage allowance.
Passengers requiring assistance who do not have their own wheelchair may have to pay a charge directly to the wheelchair service provider at the relevant airport.

Wheelchair assistance is currently provided at all Continental Airports by the airport, free of charge. To pre-book this service, please contact the airport directly.

Many of the low cost airlines are unable to accept passengers with a level of disability which requires the presence of a care assistant unless a care assistant is travelling with the passenger. A maximum of two disabled passengers can travel with one Care Assistant.
